Psychologist and Psychotherapist

Kateryna Romanova - gestalt therapist, psychologist in private practice

About Me

I'm Kateryna, a practicing psychologist. I primarily work within the Gestalt approach, while also using methods and techniques from other therapeutic approaches when appropriate.

My own experience of therapy was what first brought me to psychology. Therapy taught me to slow down and pay attention to what I was feeling instead of running from difficult emotions. It helped me learn to be on my own side, acknowledge my strengths and achievements, and accept my limitations as well.

After more than 10 years in IT, working in a variety of technical and managerial roles, going through emotional burnout and searching for new meaning and both inner and external sources of support, I found myself in a new profession. Psychology has now become my primary professional focus.

I truly love what I do and sincerely believe that, with the desire and curiosity to explore yourself, together with the support of a professional, it is possible to reconnect with your authentic self and significantly improve your quality of life by filling it with meaning that is truly your own.

So, I invite you to therapy — to explore your inner world together.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions clients ask most often

How long does a consultation last?

A standard session lasts 50 minutes. This is an optimal amount of time for deep, focused work.

How often should I attend therapy sessions?

The optimal frequency is once a week. If needed, we can discuss an individual schedule.

Can I come for just one consultation?

Yes. A one-off consultation is possible if you would like to clarify and better understand your situation. Your initial consultation is also an opportunity to get to know each other and does not commit you to continuing therapy. However, sustainable and deep changes typically require longer-term work, usually involving at least 10 sessions.

How do online consultations work?

We meet via Google Meet, Zoom or another messaging platform that is convenient for you. It is important to have a stable internet connection and a private space where you can feel comfortable and speak freely.
